FONTANA, Calif. -- Bill Wilburn and Brad Parrott, a pair of former Cup crew chiefs, are working with Busch Series newcomer David Gilliland.
Wilburn is crew chief for the Clay Andrews Racing team, while Parrott is working as a consultant until he finds a more permanent job. Gilliland, an accomplished racer in the NASCAR West and Southwest Series, won the Toyota All-Star Showdown last November.
Wilburn is a former crew chief for Rusty Wallace and Dale Jarrett, while Parrott also worked with Jarrett and most recently was crew chief for Carl Edwards in the Busch Series.
Gilliland, who is using Jerry Nadeau as a driving coach, plans on running 17-20 races this year, Wilburn said.
In other Busch Series crew chief news, Gere Kennon is no longer with the No. 38 Akins Motorsports team. He is being replaced on an interim basis by Ken Davis.
