maybe he is tired of being a P/C poster child like hid Daddy Jeff Gordon.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Greg Biffle knows the changes are coming to Roush Racing. What he doesn't know yet is exactly what they'll entail, and whether crew chief Doug Richert will be part of the personnel shuffle.
Jack Roush said at Dover that changes would be made in the operation, but said Friday at Kansas Speedway that he's still in the process of determining what those moves will be. So Biffle and Richert can only wait to see what comes next.
"I know that we're making some pretty major changes in our organization throughout," Biffle said. "Kind of reorganizing a lot of stuff and going to try and re-energize what we did in 2005, sharing a lot of information. Not saying we're not now, but trying to focus on that better and find out what works really good and then spread it company wide and then try to get everybody going that way."
Biffle said it looks like he'll remain paired with Richert and that he hopes that's the case. Richert has served as Biffle's crew chief since August 2003.
"But you just never know when these big shakeups come," Biffle said.
Richert's hearing the same rumors as everyone else.
"I guess it really just depends on what they decide to do with everything," Richert said Saturday.
He'll do whatever's best for the organization and said he won't know if a change could be better for all concerned until knowing what moves are possible.
"Change sometimes is for the good. Sometimes change is maybe not what you want to see," Richert said. "Where are you going to go? What team? What shop? What does he have in mind? [You need to know] before you can say you'll be happy with it."
