CONCORD, N.C.Tony Stewart said he was willing to be wrecked to win the race at Talladega Superspeedway last weekend.

Stewart blocked Regan Smith at the end of the race. Smith went below the yellow line and passed Stewart but was penalized for passing below the yellow line. NASCAR could have penalized Stewart for forcing Smith below the yellow line, but NASCAR ruled that Smith wasn’t forced.

“You don’t know what each driver is going to do,” Stewart said. “You have to make that decision if you want to put yourself in that predicament. I was wiling if I got spun, I was going to spin trying to win the race.

“I had already finished second there six times so I was willing to take that risk. At the same time, the person that’s there, it could get them caught in a wreck, too.”

Stewart said the same thing could happen this weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway even without the yellow-line rule.

“It’s no different than when we run out here,” Stewart said. “You have respect for everybody and it’s risk versus reward every time you stick your nose underneath somebody. .. Last week wasn’t something that was new.”

Oh if only it would have happened as Tony had described. He would have cried and cried and said how rookie's shouldn't even be allow at a track such as Dega where it takes skill. Actually some of their skill is luck, huh Tony?
