MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Team engineer Mike Smith is the interim crew chief for the No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team this weekend at Martinsville Speedway.
Smith is an aerodynamic specialist who has been with the team for 18 years.
Bill Elliott is driving for the Wood Brothers this weekend at Martinsville. The team is outside the top 35 in owners points, but has access to a past champions provisional and is, therefore, locked into the field for Sunday’s Goody’s Cool Orange 500.
