Wave Energy Drink has agreed to an extension of its sponsorship program with Tommy Baldwin Racing for the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, according to a release from the company.

The company, which is in its first season of NASCAR sponsorship, will appear as the primary sponsor in 14 select events, beginning with the Daytona 500 in February. It will also be the primary sponsor in the non-points all-star race in May and an associate sponsor for the remaining 2010 races.

In addition to the Daytona 500, Wave Energy Drink will appear as the primary sponsor for races at Atlanta, Texas, Richmond, Charlotte, Michigan, Daytona, Watkins Glen, Atlanta, Dover, Kansas, California, Texas and Homestead.

“The foundation has been laid down this year, and it's a matter of growing this program further as we move forward together," team owner Tommy Baldwin said. "When Wave Energy Drink came on board, it changed the dynamic of our program. It now looks as if we'll have better and expanded resources available to us next year than we've ever had before. With Wave Energy Drink's continued involvement, there's going to be some real improvement."

Financial terms of the sponsorship were not disclosed.
