Hendrick Motorsports' Brad Keselowski will work with crew chief Tony Eury Jr. in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.

Brad Keselowski will return to Hendrick Motorsports’ No. 25 NASCAR Sprint Cup entry this weekend, this time working with crew chief Tony Eury Jr.

Keselowski is running a limited schedule in the series this season, driving for both Hendrick Motorsports and Phoenix Racing. In six Cup starts, he has one win and two additional top-10 finishes. Keselowski, 25, has previously worked with Lance McGrew when racing for Hendrick, but McGrew has taken over as interim crew chief for Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the organization's No. 88 Cup program.

"I'm really looking forward to the opportunity I have to work with Tony Jr. for the first time this weekend," Keselowski said. "I've had a chance to talk with him over the past few weeks, and so I think we will definitely be on the same page communication-wise. He brings a lot of experience to the table, having the background he does and having worked with Dale Jr. While I haven't raced at this track before [in the Cup series], Tony Jr. was able to participate in the tire test a few weeks ago, so I think the information he'll have from that will definitely be helpful. It's going to be good to work with him and see what I can learn from him over these next three races."

For Eury, it's a chance to get back to the track as a crew chief for the first time since he and Earnhardt Jr. split at the end of May.

"I think it's kind of a change of pace, and it's kind of a challenge to me," he said. "You know, those young guys, they're eager. I think we'll complement each other well. I've watched Brad the last couple of years, and I look forward to working with him."

Keselowski works with Tony Eury Sr. in the Nationwide Series, where he is third in the standings.

Has Tony Eury Jr. asked his dad for any advice on working with the young driver?

"We've talked over the last year or so, just understanding what kind of changes he's making to the cars," Eury Jr. said. "But I've had a lot more conversations with Brad than anybody. He just gives me race reports from running the Impala this year. I go back and look at those setups and try to figure out where we're going from here.

"Brad has been really good about giving me his plusses and minuses on what he thinks about himself, and I've given them to him from my perspective. We understand each other going into the weekend, and we're looking forward to it."

    I think this is great! I know Tony, Jr. and Brad will work well together. I know Tony, Jr. is a great crew chief and Brad is a really good driver in NW and is ready to come to Cup full time. Maybe the two will be together when Brad does come to cup full time, hopefully with Stewart/Haas or JRM. Either way, I am glad Brad and Tony, Jr will be together this weekend! I also know Scene will have another article ready no matter what the outcome will be, probably with a good bit of comments. lol

    #4, I feel the same. I also think Tony Jr is a good crew chief. I also think if the media and fans would have just accepted that they were having some bad times, as every team does, they could have worked through it. Once it was affecting family and Dale and Tony, Rick didn't have a choice.So good luck to all Hendrick teams this weekend.

    Carol-88-Fan...I agree....A lot of fans were screaming for a new crew chief...new pit crews... and on and on. I knew something needed to change, but didn't know what. Rick did what he thought was best for everyone. Dale, Jr. is still driving with continous effort and that says a lot! My #1 driver..GO JR. GO! and Brad as another one of my driver's GO BRAD GO!!!!

    I'm glad to see Tony Jr back at the track!! There was nothing wrong with Tony's ability as a crew chief. What was wrong was family working with family, things starting to not work, family arguing when normally you wouldn't, not communicating like you would with another professional...you get my drift? It went both ways, Dale and Tony, so yeah, those 2 just needed to be split up, period, as hard as it was to do. I KNOW that Tony's gonna come back and be a GREAT crew chief for Brad, and I am SO excited to see this race on Sat. night!! Brad, you and Dale Jr run up front, you hear me??!!!!! Some fan's doubted Tony, Jr.'s ability as a crew chief. And most of them were not JR. fans either! There will be a lot of I told you so's no matter which way it goes. Sometimes it's just best to ignore those fans. It works better than arguing with them.. :-)

    I've liked Dale Jr. and Tony Jr. together since there time together in the BUSCH Series. I thought that they could work through the problems that they were having in the CUP series but that didn't happen. I always thought that the best person in the pits was Tony Sr. he would have set Dale Jr. straight no matter what. But that didn't happen. So now it will be interesting to see if Tony Jr. and Brad can make waves in the Nationwide Series. This weekend could be interesting.

    9 and 11. What snide, stupid comments. If looks were the only criterion for race car drivers, Carl. Kyle and Joey would be sitting on the sidelines. None of them are bad looking, but they sure aren't Brad Pitt or George Clooney. I sure would put Brad K ahead of those three in the looks dept, but so what. All four of them can drive the wheels off a race car. Personally, I think Brad K is a sponsor's dream. He is intelligent, articulate, gives a great interview and doesn't blame the other guy when things don't go his way on the track. As far as the sponsorship problem; it's the economy stupid. I think drivers who have better credentials and have been in NASCAR a lot longer than Brad will be having trouble finding sponsors next year. Hope he has a great weekend with Tony Jr in Chicago.

    #21, You are the stupid one. If you think that looks have nothing to do with sponsors, you are crazy. commercials make them money and you have to have looks to do that. And as far as Joey, He is a sponsors dream. His Home depot commercial has been the #1 commercial in this sport for most of the season. And he can drive. When Roush did his driver search, he elimated good drivers just because of the way they looked. Looks is everything.

    Werner, Wasn'T Danny in that group of drivers that I was talking about with Roush. they did a whole deal at Darlington at picked like 3 drivers and that's where he found Danny and Erik Darnell. The reason I remember it was because they had a couple of pretty good drivers but one was a little over weight and the other wasn't good looking enough.

    Bass Pro is already down to 23 races with EGR. They are not doing well as it is in this economy. They are with EGR until the end of this year. Next year you might not see them around but if they are they will line themselves up with a team that is sponsored by Toyota.     I have never seen anyone with manicured nails in NHRA, but then I only get to a couple of races a year. The IRL might have some drivers there that do it. Scott Speed get manicures and pedicures. He even jokes about it when he wears flip flops.

    #54. MPD doest get you a thing if you cant win Championships. Do you think that Brad is a priority at HMS. They have to worry about Mark in the #5 car too. Carquest and Kelloggs both are not secured for next year and beyond. Most drivers need to secure sponsorship by Aug for everything to be in place for Daytona in Feb. GoDaddys racing budget mostly goes to Danica and the little that was left over went to JRM for Brad. I dont see them changing that soon since Danica brings more exposure than Brad ever would.

    i think darion was the glue between them (eury and Jr) plus motorsports godaddy handles the bulk of brads races ,ore then 15 they can afford too go to cup with brad and keep the price were its at because jr can have the rest of the sponsors that are on the 88 car in nationwide come up into sprint at the same price and give more races too one or the other. junior has too many main sponsor hellmans,klondike, and of course godaddy they dont look like he has problems when it comes to that plus when you factor in the fact that he can drive with the big boys(winning his first race at talladega were its about skill and intellect. plus he backed it up with a 7th at darlington and most recently got a 6th with fuel stratigy meaning he can finish good in multiple ways hes everything a team wants he has good enough looks and has awesome skill.

    He was at the track and he might have been sitting on the box. Lots of guys sit on the box but he never made any calls or had anything to do with setups. Tony made the calls and set the cars up.     Kyle tested for F1 in a Toyota last year in Japan. He already said if he could win a couple of Cup Championships he would like to try F1 by time he was 30. Jeff wanted to do the same thing but let it slip by him. Kyle is a natural driver.

    You are losing it. Kyle is tens times the driver that Dale is. He is probadly one of the best drivers out there. Dale hasnt led a lap all year. Kyle has led over 900 laps just in Cup alone this year.

    first Mr motormouthphotohograher I think you should get your own column, since you have over 30 responses to other peoples opinions and we all just wait on your every word I think your one of these guys that has no friends and if you do, he really doesn't like you either but doesn't want to tell you. I listen to jr on the scanner and eury had said to jr that he really diddn't know what adjustments to make on the car a few differant times last year, so as usual your such the authourity on every race team and we all wait with baited breath to hear yor response.
