Teams to carry decal honoring African-American driver Wendell Scott at Atlanta

In honor of the 49th anniversary of the first start of Wendell Scott, the only African-American driver to win a NASCAR Cup race, teams will have a commemorative decal bearing Scott’s image on their cars this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Scott made his first start March 4, 1961, in Spartanburg, S.C., and won the Dec. 1, 1963, race in Jacksonville, Fla.
