Talladega posts best ratings of Chase, still down nearly 9 percent
ESPN reports ABC’s live coverage of the Amp Energy 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway earned a final national household rating of 4.2, the highest rating so far among the seven races in the Chase For The Sprint Cup.
The rating is down 8.7 percent from the race's 4.6 rating in 2007 and 2008. The telecast averaged 6,627,058 viewers.
The Talladega race was moved from the fourth race in the Chase (typically in early October) to the seventh this year.
