Sprint Cup entry list has 46 cars for Las Vegas

The same 46 drivers and teams entered for last week’s Sprint Cup race at Auto Club Speedway are entered for the Shelby American this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
That will leave 10 drivers once again vying for seven spots on the grid as there are 35 spots already guaranteed and TRG Motorsports’ Bobby Labonte will have access to a past champion’s provisional if he needs it.
Those drivers who will have to make it on speed are Phoenix Racing’s Aric Almirola, Germain Racing’s Max Papis, Tommy Baldwin Racing’s Johnny Sauter and Mike Bliss, Whitney Motorsports’ Terry Cook, Prism Motorsports’ Michael McDowell and Dave Blaney, Red Bull Racing’s Scott Speed, Nemco Motorsports’ Joe Nemechek and Keyed-Up Motorsports’ Casey Mears.
