Roush Fenway Racing says it will host Greg Biffle Foundation Day on Oct. 14 at the team’s headquarters in Concord, N.C.
The event, designed for race fans and animal lovers, will feature autograph sessions with NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers pictured in the 2010 NASCAR Pets Calendar, information sessions with "Downunder Horsemanship" host Clinton Anderson, entertainment from the NC Agility Dogs, booths hosted by local pet care vendors, 3M product giveaways and live music.
Activities will begin at 11 a.m. EDT and conclude at 7 p.m.
“We see this event as a way to promote the work our Foundation is doing for animals, while providing fun and entertainment at the same time,” Biffle said. “Our new 2010 NASCAR Pets Calendars will be on sale, and a number of the drivers who appear in the calendar will be on hand to autograph them.”
Admission is free, but a pet food drive will be held to help supply local shelters and rescue groups with supplies. The first 500 guests to bring a pet food donation will receive a Greg Biffle Foundation car decal.
The Foundation was founded in 2005 by Biffle and his wife, Nicole, to create awareness and serve as an advocate to improve the well-being of animals, with help from the motorsports industry.
In 2008, the Foundation awarded grant funding to 112 shelters and rescue groups nationwide for programs such as spaying and neutering, adoption and general operating expenses.
