Reed Sorenson to attempt Daytona 500, four other Cup races for Braun Racing
Braun Racing says it will enter Reed Sorenson in five Sprint Cup events this season.
Sorenson, who will have Dollar General as his sponsor, will attempt to make the Daytona 500, the Atlanta race in March, the Chicagoland race in July, the Indianapolis race in July and the Charlotte race in October.
“Fielding a car in the Daytona 500 has been one of my lifelong dreams,” said team owner Todd Braun. “It is incredibly exciting to have the opportunity to realize that dream. We’re stepping into the top tier of motorsports, and it is a direct result of their hard work and the support of our outstanding marketing partners.

Having run full time in Cup the last four years, Sorenson also is driving a partial Nationwide schedule for the team in 2010.
