JOLIET, Ill. - David Ragan made it two top-10 NASCAR Sprint Cup finishes in a row Saturday night at Chicagoland Speedway with his run to eighth in the LifeLock.com 400.

It marks the first time in his Cup career that the sophomore Roush Fenway Racing driver has recorded consecutive top 10s.

Still, Ragan is hungry for more.

“Obviously, top 10s are what we need to get to run well and make the Chase [For The NASCAR Sprint Cup], but we’ve just to keep getting better," said Ragan, who recorded his sixth top-10 in 19 races. "The top 10s need to lead to top fives and top fives need to lead to wins. So, we’re close. We’ve had fast race cars. [Crew chief] Jimmy Fennig and the whole team have really put a good race car underneath me, and it’s just a matter of circumstances and figuring out a couple of small little details. But, we’re close, and we’ve
got to just keep getting better.”

Ragan fell to 15th in the Sprint Cup standings, losing a spot to sixth-place finisher Brian Vickers, but moved within 98 points of the 12th-place driver.

"We’ve just got to keep working on the small areas," Ragan said. "Like I said, we’ve taken a 15th-place team and we’re running top 10. We’ve got to take a top 10 and keep getting better.”
