Pocono entry list has 45 drivers; Bobby Labonte back in TRG car
There are 45 drivers entered for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 this weekend at Pocono Raceway.
Bobby Labonte is back in the TRG Motorsports No. 71 ride that he left last month as the team has secured sponsorship from TaxSlayer.com for this race.
Landon Cassill replaces Labonte for Phoenix Racing while Reed Sorenson remains in the No. 83 Red Bull Racing car as Brian Vickers continues to undergo treatment for blood clots.
Cassill will be one of the 10 drivers, vying for eight spots, that must make the 43-car field based on their qualifying speed. The others will be Germain Racing’s Max Papis, Latitude 43 Motorsports’ David Stremme, Tommy Baldwin Racing’s Casey Mears, Front Row Motorsports’ Travis Kvapil, Whitney Motorsports’ J.J. Yeley, Prism Motorsports’ Michael McDowell, Gunselman Motorsports’ Todd Bodine, Prism’s Dave Blaney and Nemco Motorsports’ Joe Nemechek.
