Part-time teams push Texas entry list up to 48 Sprint Cup cars

Forty-eight cars are on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s Dickies 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway, five more than a full field.
Among the part-time drivers entered at Texas are David Gilliland (Joe Gibbs Racing), Derrike Cope (EM Motorsports), Max Papis (Germain Racing), Bill Elliott (Wood Brothers Racing), Tony Raines (Front Row Motorsports), Mike Skinner (TRG Motorsports) and Regan Smith (Furniture Row Racing).
Part-time drivers entered with full-time teams are Mike Bliss (Phoenix Racing), Michael McDowell (Tommy Baldwin Racing), Bobby Labonte (TRG) and Erik Darnell (Hall of Fame Racing).
