General Discussion » Can Tony Jr do for Brad what he couldn't do for Dale?
There weren't that many bad calls on timing and pitstops.
ABC’s broadcast of Sunday’s Ford 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup season finale from Homestead-Miami Speedway earned an overnight Nielsen Media Research rating of 3.6, Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Journal reports.
The figure is 5.3 percent less than the 3.8 ABC earned overnight for the 2007 race.
Was anyone at fault for the mayhem at the finish of the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway?

Nov 17, 2008 at 2:53 PMDoes anyone really wonder why, after what ABC did the week before? Switching stations in the middle of a race, doesn't make fans very happy and they probably all decided to boycott. And the fact that Homestead doesn't create a very exciting race, didn't help. Maybe this will wake up some people, to give the fans what they want.

Nov 17, 2008 at 3:15 PMStart the season at Daytona and finish at Daytona!!! Also hold the banguet in Charlotte or Daytona and have it at the race track and have the fans attend it!!! Homestead is boring Id cancel that race track and bring 1 race back to Darlington the Southren 500 belongs back there and put the race on earier Family time is spent on Sundays still and not just watching tv we go out and do things got to make 1 oclock for the race and stick by it and cut out alot of the pre race hype 3 hours of race day by the Home Depot on Speed is way too much time get the race started with in 15 minutes of going on the air like back in the days of ESPN having the race and Bob Jenkins and Dr. Jerry and Benny Parsons calling the race that was when watching racing on tv was good Get with the program Nascar!!!!!

Nov 17, 2008 at 3:33 PMIs anyone really surprised that the rating dropped when you know who would get the championship. I have never switched channels as much as i did sunday. I would check back to see if Carl was ahead and of course he wasn't so i didn't even watch the end cause i am so tired of jimmy and chad i could p---. Chad has an attitude that just get under my skin. I wish they would take him off of Nascar Performance and This week in Nascar. I like This week in Nascar but when chad is on i watch something else. The Bif is good on there.

Nov 18, 2008 at 4:50 PMHad I known the pre-race was going to be called The Jimmie Johnson Telethon, I would have turned off the TV. There were many other story lines involved that were not covered but were mentioned here on scenedaily.com. Too much content is given to the Hendricks team. Besides Johnson and Edwards, there were 41 other drivers out there vying for positions. Shame on ABC for poor coverage to those drivers. We all have our different drivers to root for, equal time for everyone.

Nov 18, 2008 at 5:25 PMIt's not just ABC, ratings have been either down or flat for most every race this year. I did not go out of my way to watch any of the races this season because for the most part they are boring. Seasons before I scheduled things around the race or made sure my dvr was set to catch all the race. NASCAR needs to get rid of the COT and the predictabilty of the races.

Nov 18, 2008 at 5:34 PMKendall...doesn't make a bit of difference who would have broadcast the race...everyone knew who was going to win the Cup and it took the interest out of it...and...you can't compete with the NFL...
