WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. – NASCAR Vice President of Competition Robin Pemberton said this morning that officials from the sanctioning body plan to meet with Penske Racing’s David Stremme and Robby Gordon Motorsports’ Robby Gordon prior to practice today for the Heulva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen.

NASCAR typically meets with drivers after they have had issues with each other on the track. Last Monday at Pocono Raceway, Gordon got into the back of Stremme during the race, and then Stremme got into the back of Gordon, who then got into the back of Stremme under caution. Both Stremme and Gordon were penalized for five laps – Stremme for aggressive driving and Gordon for hitting another car under caution.

NASCAR did not meet with the drivers after the Pocono race, so they will meet with the drivers prior to practice today. Typically they do this to remind the drivers not to bring their issues to the next event.
