There weren't that many bad calls on timing and pitstops.
BROOKLYN, Mich. – NASCAR handed out a proposed testing policy to Sprint Cup Series crew chiefs Saturday afternoon.
The proposal was much like the one already floated last month, where each organization would get 24 test days in addition to the preseason testing at Daytona International Speedway. Organizations would be allowed to test only two cars but could have all of their drivers present.
Sprint Cup Series Director John Darby said that the most significant revision is that a team will be allowed to bring an additional transporter with a third car in case one gets wrecked during the test session.
Darby said NASCAR will continue to get input from crew chiefs with a target date of Sept. 1 for any final revisions.
Was anyone at fault for the mayhem at the finish of the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway?
