NASCAR Sprint Cup awards banquet to return to Las Vegas, other postseason ceremonies set

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards Ceremony will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, at the Wynn Las Vegas, NASCAR announced Monday.

This will mark the second straight year that the ceremony to honor the Sprint Cup champion and the top 10 drivers will be held in Las Vegas after moving from New York last year. The event will culminate NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion’s Week in Las Vegas.

The combined awards banquet for the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the Camping World Truck Series will again take place in South Florida at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel on Nov. 22, the Monday following Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway and the season finales for each series.

The Sprint Cup ceremony will again be accompanied by a number of ancillary events – the “Victory Lap,” a procession of the top 10 drivers in their race cars; the NASCAR NMPA Myers Brothers Awards; the Pit Stop Tour; and the NASCAR Street Tour to include stock cars and mobile marketing units placed throughout Las Vegas.

A designated number of fans will be able to attend the awards ceremony. Details on the fan element will be announced later this year.
