NASCAR: Part from Kyle Busch's Sprint Cup car within the rules

By Bob Pockrass - Associate Editor

A NASCAR spokesman says sanctioning body officials have found that the rear housing taken from the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota driven by Kyle Busch following the Sprint Cup Series race Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway was within the rules.

NASCAR took the rear housing to its research and development center in Concord, N.C., to be measured electronically and found it to be in compliance with the rules, according to the spokesman, so the team will not face any penalties.

Mentioned Drivers: Kyle Busch

You people just won't admit what a talented driver Kyle is.I bet you were all holding your breath, hoping for a penalty. Why not ask JGR to see the books, stats, adjustments and etc.that way you may learn something. And MOST of the time ,if cheating is found, the driver knows nothing about it. But you Busch haters would still find something, because you have natural hate blood in you. I bet it makes your parents proud how they raised you!! GO KYLE & KURT

I'm not crazy about Kyle but I think he is an awesome driver. Maybe they need to check out cousin Carl's car sometimes.

Well Coco, you bring up a valid point. All of Carl's, Jimmy's and Kyle's winning cars have gone through the mandatory tear down after each of their wins. If any of them cheated, we would already know.

I just want to know why Nascar has not taken any of the Hendrick cars this year for inspection? As many times that they have been caught "manuplating" the car, you would think they would check them at some point in the year. Guess that is why they haven't been caught this year. It seems to me that they are singling out the Toyotas and the smaller teams, as last week the Red Bull car was not to their liking, and also Kenny Wallace was penalized in the Nationwide series. And just how do they decide who they are going to check this week from week to week?

You poor babies who were hoping they would find Kyle's car illegal. You just can't accept the fact that Kyle is good and he doesn't need an illegal car to race upfront.
