Mohawk Northeast, Inc. will provide sponsorship for the Tommy Baldwin Racing No. 36 Chevrolet in this weekend’s Air Guard 400 at Richmond International Raceway.

Mohawk, based in Connecticut, is one of the region’s largest heavy civil contractors.

Dave Blaney will be behind the wheel of the TBR entry for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event. Because the team is outside the top-35 in owner points, Blaney will have to make  the race based on his qualifying speed.

“We are looking forward to partnering up with Tommy and the race team again at Richmond,” Al Heinke, President of Mohawk Northeast, said in a team news release. “NASCAR has been a great way to increase brand recognition for us and the partnership with TBR has allowed us to reach a group of customers outside our current base in New England.”

"We are confident we can help [Mohawk] extend their reach in this market," team ower Tommy Baldwin said.

“Dave has had success everywhere he has raced and we look forward to having him behind the wheel for TBR and Mohawk.”
