Mike Accavitti, who was named the president and chief executive officer of the Dodge brand in June and was considered a proponent of the Dodge NASCAR program, has resigned “to pursue other interests” amid another restructuring of the new Chrysler, according to a Chrysler statement.

Chrysler has split Dodge into two brands – one for cars and another for the Ram truck.

Ralph Gilles, who joined the Chrysler product design organization in 1992, is the new president and CEO of the Dodge car brand. Fred Diaz Jr. was appointed president and CEO, Dodge Ram brand.

Dodge brand parent company Chrysler also has a new leader in Olivier Francois, who replaces Peter Fong.
