CONCORD, N.C. – The final session of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series test session at Lowe’s Motor Speedway featured three incidents as the two-day test concluded. Roush Fenway Racing's Jamie McMurray led the final of six sessions.

McMurray led the field with a lap of 185.720 mph. Penske Racing's Ryan Newman, Red Bull Racing's AJ Allmendinger, Haas CNC Racing's Scott Riggs and Gillett Evernham Motorsports' Patrick Carpentier rounded out the top five.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. crashed his No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet during the session, sustaining enough damage that he parked the car for the night. Dale Earnhardt Inc.’s Regan Smith and Penske Racing’s Kurt Busch also scraped the wall in the session, all in separate incidents.

The teams were testing in preparation for the May 17 all-star race and the May 25 Coca-Cola 600 events.

Mentioned Drivers: Elliott Sadler
