Officials from the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation announced the foundation’s second golf tournament and dinner will be held Sept. 22 at Seaview Resort and Spa in Galloway, N.J.
Last year’s tournament raised more than $200,000 for the foundation, which assists children in need.
The 2009 tournament will feature 72 foursomes, followed by a dinner and auction.
“Even though Martin no longer permanently resides in New Jersey, he still calls it home,” said Michelle Hunt, executive director of the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation. “It is important to both him and the foundation that we continue to find opportunities to support his hometown friends and family. This golf tournament and dinner allow us to do just that. Martin feels so fortunate to have such support behind him, and it is for this reason that we welcome every opportunity to go back to say thank you. We invite everyone to come and be a part of a fun and exciting day.”
Both events are open to the public, but tickets are limited. The cost to participate in the golf tournament is $200 per player, and tickets to the dinner and auction are $100 per person. Registration for the event is available now online at www.martintruexjrfoundation.org or by calling the foundation at (704)-664-1113.
All proceeds raised from the event will benefit the foundation’s mission of helping children in need.
