The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation has announced plans to host the inaugural “Hook’em & Hold’em” Foundation Poker Tournament on Sept. 23 at the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, N.J. The Texas Hold’em style tournament will be held the day after the Foundation’s second-annual golf tournament and dinner.

Truex and fellow Sprint Cup competitors Ryan Newman and Kyle Busch will join a group of 250 poker players to raise funds to benefit children in the New Jersey and North Carolina areas. The tournament’s first-place finisher will be awarded $5,000, with $2,500 going to second place and $1,000 for third. The Grand Prize, a Dover International Speedway fan experience package, will be presented to the highest finishing fan.

The package will include two hot passes for the Sprint Cup Series’ fall Dover race, two suite tickets, a behind-the-scenes pit tour and a meet-and-greet opportunity with Truex.

A total of 250 tickets are available at $200 each, which includes buy-in. Because of casino regulations, access to the event is available to poker participants only. A silent auction will be open to the general public. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the event.

For more information about the tournament, to reserve a spot or learn more about sponsorship opportunities, visit www.martintruexjrfoundation.org or call the foundation office at (704) 664-1113.
