Richard Childress Racing's Kevin Harvick says he’s fine for Budweiser Shootout
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Kevin Harvick, who missed practice for tonight’s Budweiser Shootout because of flu-like symptoms on Thursday, said he is fine and will be able to race the full 75-lap race at Daytona International Speedway.
The Richard Childress Racing driver said he believes it was a 24-hour bug that kept him home on the sidelines. Unable to make the trip to Daytona, he said he didn’t watch the crash-filled practices Thursday.
“I’m fine,” Harvick said. “It wasn’t much fun; I’ll tell you that much.”
Harvick will have to start in the rear of the field of the non-points race because he did not practice the car.
