Jimmie Johnson leads final Cup practice at Texas

FORT WORTH, Texas - Hendrick Motorsports' Jimmie Johnson led final practice Saturday in preparation for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Johnson, who is leading the series standings with three races remaining, turned a lap of 186.670 mph, while Roush Fenway Racing's Carl Edwards was second with a speed of 186.265 mph.
Johnson, Edwards, Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin and Roush Fenway Racing's Greg Biffle were the only four drivers in the top 10 who are competing in the Chase For The Sprint Cup.
Hamlin was third, Biffle fourth and Bill Elliott (Wood Brothers Racing) rounded out the top five.
Sixth through 10th were David Ragan (Roush Fenway), Robby Gordon (Robby Gordon Motorsports), Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Hendrick), David Reutimann (Michael Waltrip Racing) and Martin Truex Jr. (Earnhardt Ganassi Racing).
Other Chasers: Kurt Busch (Penske Racing) 12th, Juan Pablo Montoya (Earnhardt Ganassi) 14th, Jeff Gordon (Hendrick) 15th, Ryan Newman (Stewart-Haas Racing) 16th, Tony Stewart (Stewart-Haas) 20th, Mark Martin (Hendrick) 29th, Brian Vickers (Red Bull Racing) 34th and Kasey Kahne (Richard Petty Motorsports) 37th.
The only incident involved Kevin Harvick (Richard Childress Racing) brushing the wall. He did not require a backup car.
Sunday's race race is slated to begin at 3:15 p.m. EST and will be televised on ABC.
