Yates Racing announced Wednesday that Hitachi Power Tools will sponsor the No. 28 entry of driver Travis Kvapil for six races on the remaining NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule.

The sponsorship will debut in the Allstate 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 27. It will be the first time the company has been a primary sponsor at the Cup level.

“This is a really powerful sponsorship for our Yates Racing organization,” Kvapil said in a news release. “I am thrilled that Hitachi Power Tools has chosen to partner with our team, and it’s a tremendous honor to be able to welcome a new sponsor to the Sprint Cup Series level on our No. 28 Ford."

Kvapil's car will also carry the Atlanta-based sponsor at Pocono, Richmond, Dover, Charlotte and Atlanta.
