LOUDON, N.H. - If practice speeds are any indication, Chip Ganassi Racing could be the team to beat in Sunday's Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
After the team's three cars led Saturday morning's practice, Ganassi's Juan Pablo Montoya and Reed Sorenson recorded the first and third fastest speeds, respectively, in Saturday's final session.
Sandwiched in between was Hendrick Motorsports' Jimmie Johnson, who ran the session's second-fastest lap near the end of the one-hour practice.
Montoya, who was fastest in the morning practice, backed it up with a best lap of 127.316 mph in final practice with Johnson at 127.202 and Sorenson at 127.163.
Richard Childress Racing's Kevin Harvick and Roush Fenway Racing's Greg Biffle rounded out the five best speeds.
Sixth through 10th were Hendrick teammates Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr., Penske Racing's Ryan Newman, Gillett Evernham Motorsports' Kasey Kahne and Ganassi's Dario Franchitti.
TNT's coverage of the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 begins at 12:30 p.m. EDT Sunday with the green flag scheduled to wave just after 2 p.m.
