Gander Mountain says it will be the primary sponsor on the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide series entries of Front Row Motorsports driver Tony Raines this weekend at Daytona International Speedway.

Front Row Motorsports team owner Bob Jenkins welcomed the sponsorship from the company, which has 116 stores in 23 states, offering hunting, fishing, boating, camping, marine and outdoor lifestyle apparel, products and services.

"Gander Mountain is sure to have success with its launch of online firearms sales and free shipping program," he said. "We intend to run strong and help spread the word at Daytona over this holiday weekend."

"Tony Raines is well known as an avid outdoorsman as are many NASCAR fans," said Steve Uline, Gander Mountain’s senior vice president of marketing. "Tony understands Gander Mountain’s 'We Live Outdoors' culture, and we think he is the perfect driver to showcase the new online firearms department and our free shipping offer."

Financial terms of the sponsorships were not disclosed.

Donnie has a huge fanbase in the DC/ Baltimore areas and does numerous radio and TV talkshows around the 14 million person heavily populated area. In fact, when Dale Jr got upset at Dover a few years ago, he flipped Donnie over on the backstretch and that video gained well over 22,000 hits on YouTube alone! Donnie also lead laps in the SAME Daytona Busch race that Gander decided to sponsor some other guy in

Thanks #3. I hate Gander anyway. Camping World and Bass Pro are not only cheaper, but much easier to get in and out of. Donnie lost the bidding war by only a mere $2,100 ...

Please stop with the incessant rants about how Donnie Neuenberger should be racing. It's gotten about as bad as the Dale Jr fans and haters going at it.

Glad to see Tony get a sponsor, personally. I feel he got the short end of the bargain at HOF, and should have been in the car last year. Now, if he will just run all the laps at Daytona in the Cup series...

Lifelong Nascar fan here. Who is Donnie Neuenberger. Never heard of him. Tony Raines is capable of a nice run when the cards fall right! He can race with the best 43 on most days!

Right on #8 blogger, I don't think Tony Raines could even complete a race if he was given a shot in the Hendrick #48.
