Earnhardt Jr. leads Sprint Cup Series practice at Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. - Hendrick Motorsports' Dale Earnhardt Jr. was fastest in today's final Sprint Cup Series practice at Richmond International Raceway for Saturday night's Crown Royal 400, recording a lap of 123.412 mph in his No. 88 Chevrolet.

Dale Earnhardt Inc.'s Mark Martin was second fastest with a lap of 122.895 mph.

Rounding out the top 10 were Gillett Evernham Motorsports' Kasey Kahne, Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin, Gillett Evernham's Elliott Sadler, DEI's Martin Truex Jr., JGR's Kyle Busch, Hendrick's Jeff Gordon, Haas CNC Racing's Scott Riggs and Penske Racing's Ryan Newman.

Qualifying is scheduled to begin at 5:40 p.m. EDT today. The race is scheduled to begin tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
