Monday, November 16, 2009
Forty-eight cars are on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, including David Stremme in Phoenix Racing’s No. 09 Chevrolet.
Stremme started the season with Penske Racing but was replaced by Brad Keselowski for the final three races of the 2009 season.
Some other part-time drivers entered at Homestead are David Gilliland for Joe Gibbs Racing, Terry Labonte for Carter/Simo Racing, Max Papis for Germain Racing, Bill Elliott for Wood Brothers Racing, Michael McDowell for Tommy Baldwin Racing, Travis Kvapil for Front Row Motorsports, Regan Smith for Furniture Row Racing and Erik Darnell for Hall of Fame Racing.
Thirteen cars outside the top 35 in owners points are entered, meaning five teams will not make the race.

Nov 16, 2009 at 7:09 PMI guess Gunselman Motorsports is done? Larry must've kept that $68,940 Martinsville money for his new boat, rather than refund it back into the NASCAR's pocket book.

Nov 17, 2009 at 10:22 PMIt's tough to make it in Nascar. Five cars won't qualify. What a joke. Went to the ASCS Short Track sprint nationals in Little Rock, AR. 102 cars quailified for only 20 starting spots. 82 did not qualify and there are no lucky dogs or radios so the drivers can block the driver behind him. Sprint car heat races are better that a Nascar race.
