Michael Waltrip Racing's David Reutimann has presented donations to four Florida charitable organizations – All Children’s Hospital of Florida, Camp Boggy Creek, Zephyrhills Pregnancy Center and Kid’s Go to Camp – after raising close to $78,000 at his fourth annual charity golf tournament and cookout.
In addition, Reutimann donated $3,000 to six schools in the Pasco County area of Florida.
“I’m blessed to be able to give back to so many,” Reutimann said. “It’s rewarding to give back to my community and schools that I myself attended.”
Reutimann’s fundraiser, which included a sports memorabilia auction, was held the weekend after Thanksgiving at Silverado Golf and Country Club in Zephyrhills, Fla.

Dec 17, 2008 at 1:25 PMWay to go Root (as Mikie calls him). You are one of the nicest guy in Nascar. You mind your business and never seem to have anything bad to say about anyone. You do a good job keeping your cool. I sure hope you win a race next season, your a good driver just keep pludding away and good luck

Dec 17, 2008 at 9:51 PMAs a person who has family that worked at the Zephyrhills Pregnancy Center, I want to thank David for his donation. And as a person who went to one of the schools he donated to, I am very glad to see them benefiting from David has gained in NASCAR, and am glad that someone like David is still remembering where he grew up and is helping them however he can.
