Apr 14, 2009 at 2:53 PMI miss that man so much. I gaurentee if Sr was still here, Ganasi would not have been needed. The 2 car stable would be the #1 & #8 cars. Both Jr's (Dale / Martin) would still be there....and both would be running up front and contending for a championship. Way to ruin the company Teresa....I used to like you before you destroyed everything DALE made and planned for.

Apr 14, 2009 at 5:52 PMI was there for Dale Earnhardt Day in 2006 & 2007 and it had respect, what has happened to the day now its only 2 hours. This is sad. I love Dale Sr. but I did stop my membership to DEI when Jr was given no choice but to leave, and I was a charter member. He will still do his daddy proud like he always had. If people don't like him now they are not really fans and never have been. I can remember times when Dale Sr didn't win but that didn't stop me from loving him. Happy early B-day Dale Sr, wish you were still here.

Apr 14, 2009 at 9:57 PMActually, this has turned into more of a day for Taylor and showing off her horse than anything else. I doubt it will be like it use to be with Martin being the only lone EGR driver left. I think everyone who is thinking about going over there go over to RCR instead. You can look at all of Srs stuff and chat with Chocolate, He likes that.

Apr 15, 2009 at 6:54 AMI agree with you Howard, we went to the tribute in 2002 and 2003, haven't been back there since for the tribute, only to visit DEI 3 times. We go to RCR every year. It's a much better place to visit and remember Dale Sr. Chocolate loves to talk to the visitors. We were at RCR in the old museum but the new one opened a few years ago is worth the visit. So much to see. I highly recommend anyone in the area to stop there.

Apr 15, 2009 at 8:18 AMI find it ironic that so many people comment on DEI being run into the ground and not going to Dale's children on the same day that Scene posts a letter regarding Jim France stepping down as CEO of ISC. To take a quote from that article, **“These changes follow the company’s plan of succession that has been in place for quite some time,” Jim France said in a news release.** He is stepping aside so his neice can take over. Too bad Teresa wouldn't let Sr's family run DEI like the France family runs Nascar and ISC.

Apr 15, 2009 at 8:21 AMTwice within a week I agree with Howard. RCR is the place to go if you are a Sr fan. Even if you aren't it's still very interesting when you talk to Chocolate. He's really a great guy. And it won't cost $39.95.

Apr 15, 2009 at 9:20 AMwell the $39.95 will go to good use. EGR don't have sponsor for the #8 so the money will help EGR run a little. Teresa could use the money.Terasa has run this company into the ground and now its nothing else of trying to live off the coat tails of the mess she made.If dale Sr knew what was going on he would turn over in his grave.Teresa is nothing more than STEP_MOMMY GRAB IT ALL MINE

Apr 15, 2009 at 5:48 PMCan't believe Dale would have been 58 years old already. It seems like yesterday when he left us. What does Elvis have to do with anything? Instead of blaming Theresa for DEI's collapse, don't forget Max Seigel was hired to run the show. How much good did he do? And if Dale Jr had stayed, they would have both gone down together. Build fast cars that handle well, and the rest takes care of itself.
