Coca-Cola extends race sponsorship with Charlotte Motor Speedway through 2015
Coca-Cola has extended its partnership with Speedway Motorsports Inc., including its race title sponsorship of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway through 2015, the companies announced today.
Coca-Cola brands will have official status in the categories of soft drink, sparkling beverage, sports drink and enhanced water at six SMI tracks – Atlanta, New Hampshire, Infineon, Las Vegas, Charlotte and Texas.
“Coca-Cola and Speedway Motorsports share the same passion to refresh and enhance the racing experience for fans,” said Beatriz Perez, Coca-Cola senior vice president for integrated marketing.
Coca-Cola is also the official soft drink of NASCAR and activates its sponsorships through NASCAR-themed advertising, packaging, promotions, at-track activations and customer-specific programs.
