Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma to sponsor RCR's Casey Mears at Texas
Richard Childress Racing says that Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will serve as the primary sponsor for driver Casey Mears in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway Nov. 8.
The Choctaw Casino Resort, which is located approximately 105 miles northeast of Texas Motor Speedway, is projected to complete an expansion in February 2010.
“Richard Childress Racing’s partnership with the Choctaw Casino Resort provides a great opportunity to showcase the casino and resort and the expansion that’s taking place there to a live national audience,” said Ben Schlosser, RCR’s senior vice president, business operations. “We’re grateful to everyone with the Choctaw Nation involved in creating this program and look forward to other possible opportunities.”
Jack Daniel’s, the primary sponsor of Mears’ No. 07 team for the majority of the season, will serve as an associate sponsor for the Texas race and return to its primary role for the final two races of 2009.
Financial terms of the sponsorship were not disclosed.
