Roush Fenway Racing’s Carl Edwards became a father Wednesday as his wife, Kate, gave birth to a baby girl.
Anne Edwards – 8 pounds, 4 ounces – was born in Columbia, Mo., at 1:44 p.m. EST, according to a news release from the team. Both Anne and Kate are doing well.
For anyone wanting to send flowers or gifts, the family requested that donations instead be made to Back 2 Back Ministries, c/o Anne Edwards, P.O. Box 70, 8118 Corporate Way, Suite 201, Mason, Ohio 45040.
Donations will be used for an orphanage in Monterrey, Mexico.
Edwards is not expected to miss any racing this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway following the birth of his child.
