When the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to Pocono Raceway for the Pennsylvania 500 on Aug. 3, Jeff Burton's Richard Childress Racing car will look different than it does at Pocono this weekend.
AT&T announced Thursday that Burton will drive a one-race paint scheme featuring the AT&T USA five-ring logo and images of U.S. Olympic Team hopefuls gymnast Nastia Liukin and swimmer Michael Phelps.
The new paint scheme was unveiled at the 2008 Visa Championships at Boston University’s Agganis Arena, where Liukin and the USA’s other top gymnasts are competing for berths on the U.S. Olympic Team that will compete in Beijing.
The car will tour the United States to promote the Olympics leading up its appearance on the track.
"The Olympic Games only come around every two years, and it’s an honor to show our support," Burton said.
