TALLADEGA, Ala. – Brad Keselowski practiced Hendrick Motorsports' No. 5 Sprint Cup car Friday afternoon at Talladega Superspeedway for Casey Mears, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Trisha Grablander.
In the event that Mears needs to return to North Carolina to be with Grablander, Keselowski will be on standby and is practicing the car accordingly.
NASCAR is requiring that Keselowski practice the car before being allowed to drive in relief.
Keselowski is a JR Motorsports driver in the Nationwide Series who will attempt his Sprint Cup debut in a Hendrick car next week at Charlotte.

Oct 4, 2008 at 7:37 AMThis is totally off topic but very important. The new bailout bill from congress which went from 700 billion to 850 billion has in it 100 million dollars for Nascar. Can someone please tell me why Nascar needs to be bailed out? This site or Nascar.com doesn't mentions it.
