ABC's final ratings of Atlanta Sprint Cup race down 10 percent

ABC reported that its coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Pep Boys 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway earned a final national rating of 3.6 – 10 down from the 4.0 the race earned last year when it also was telecast on ABC.

Ratings for the Chase For The Sprint Cup on ABC are even with last year at an average of 3.8 through seven races, according to the network.

    Watching a race on ABC is TERRIBLE!!! Their coverage is the worse! They can't seem to keep up with the race, no explantion on what happens. I'm talking about cameras not announcers! We always hate when the races go to ABC and have considered not even watching. FOX has the best coverage and announcers. ABC sucks!!!! #3 Forever Jo Ann

    I'm certain Texas will render similar dismal results. I am a season ticket holder and I got a letter from the speedway saying they giving away tickets to Sunday's cup race. That right friends - TMS is giving away tickets to Sunday's cup race.

    and with the next 2 races having a late start...the championship just about locked in...look for more ratings drops...the Chase stinks...it makes the whole thing a 10 race season...

    True ABC coverage stinks. Also, WAKE UP NASCAR, admit it late evening/night races and the chase are not working.
