Oct 27, 2008 at 3:46 PMAll the ratings are down, I think people are getting tired of the new Nascar. I have competed at Nascar top level (Cup) and been a fan for 45 years. I am so disgusted with the way Nascar is being run I rarely bother to waste my time anymore.....excupcrew

Oct 27, 2008 at 4:16 PMYou report this fact as though it were 'news'. Given the last three "Rainy Day" lineups, I am surprized they had as many viewers as they did. Why not rename the Last three races "The Jimmy Johnson Show?"
Report as AbuseI am not a big NFL fan, but at least there is some competition.

Oct 27, 2008 at 4:26 PMGetting more "boring" than usual. I believe that is NASCAR does not lighten up and let the Crew chiefs do some meaningful tuning to the cars, it will be nothing more than watching slot cars race. OR wait for follow the leader and pass going into turn ONE or pass coming out of turn four. These cars run like they got squirrels running inside a cage, good speed, but nothing when you step on gas to pass, and it is ridiculous to expect "fans" to continue to shell out big bucks to travel to a "race", plus all the other over priced tickets, food/beberages, parking, jacked up lodging. Nuts, its more entertaining watching Football, and I say that after decades of being a NASCAR fan.

Oct 28, 2008 at 7:50 AMI think NASCAR better wake up and look at the numbers. they need to do something to make the series better. watching the races lately shows a lot of empty seats, blame it on the economy
Report as AbuseBUT if these people who cannot afford to attend a race are not even watching at home on TV now when we are in "the playoff" something is up.we fans can complain all we want but when the drivers consistently say the tires are no good and the new car needs to be altered NASCAR should listen and do something. the economy and all of these other excuses are not hurting NFL tv numbers

Oct 28, 2008 at 2:21 PMI have been a NASCAR fan for about 15 years and it is not the same as it used to be.It has been going down hill. I think that the tv ratings are going down because the fans do not like the direction
Report as AbuseBrian France is taking NASCAR. It is getting to be like the WWE on wheels. From making up the rules as they go,to BS caution flags for bogus debris to bunch the field back up.I do not think that anyone likes the Chase and the tv ratings are proof of that. Also, you should have to qualify yourself into a race and not be given a spot beacuse you are in the top 35.I also think that NASCAR should do away with the lucky dog. You sould have to race your way back to the lead lap, not be given it. I really do not think NASCAR cares about the fans and what we think. I think that this years joke they ran at the Brickyard proved that. NASCAR needs to wake up and smell the coffee burning and hear what we the fans are saying. But, I doubt they will.
