It’s probably not possible to make a good estimate of how many fans Tony Stewart picked up Saturday night by outmaneuvering Kyle Busch in the final moments of the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway and scoring his second points victory of the season.
The frontstretch grandstands erupted in spasms of joy as Busch, the circuit's proven bad boy, tried to block Stewart's victory charge and failed. Adding to insult was the fact that Busch's spinning car wound up getting slammed by at least two others before it came to rest in a crumpled heap near the end of pit road.
Busch clearly was upset at the turn of events and went to the infield medical center only after some strong convincing by NASCAR officials. Stewart, meanwhile, was explaining how good he felt about a great run but how bad he felt about the race ending in such calamity.
You'll want to watch the LifeLock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway this week to see how these two driving greats respond to what was a wacky weekend in Florida.

Report as AbuseI have only heard Kyle talk about wrecking someone intentionally 1 time and that was a nationwide driver after a nationwide race I think in charlotte. Yes it was Steven Wallace and that was during the heat of the moment. Kyle said something like I dont care how many cars I have to wreck we can play this game all year.
Once the green flag drops Kyle has tunnel vision the only thing he sees is victory lane. I have seen kyle nudge some people he was mad at but he hits them square not at an angle to try to wreck them. even then it was lap or two later not a race or two later.
I doubt anything will come of this. Even though I know JR fans want a Stewart v Busch rivalry because only Stewart, Gordon and Johnson have the skill to compare to Kyle even then Stewart and Gordon have already peaked and Jimmie is peaking now while kyle has not started peaking.
anyways if your looking for revenge let me save you some time. It is not coming. Kyle does not have time to sit at home and plot revenge. He is too busy leading laps trying to win races. Tony has no interest in a feud either he also is too busy leading laps and trying to win races. JR has the time though he is not doing either.
