7 reasons to watch the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway: No. 2 - Different winners
Daytona International Speedway has had seven different winners in the last seven races at the 2.5-mile restrictor-plate track.
Roush Fenway Racing's Matt Kenseth won the season-opening Daytona 500, sparking a hot streak that saw him win the opening pair of races. Now he's trying to regain ground in the standings.
Kyle Busch, Ryan Newman, Jamie McMurray, Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson have all won in that span. Stewart also won at the track in 2005, following a pair of victories by Jeff Gordon. Dale Earnhardt Jr., Greg Biffle and Michael Waltrip have also won at the track in the last six years.
The drafting nature of the track, the tight packs swarming toward the line, the addition of racing under the lights in July - all of these factors combine to make the upcoming Coke Zero 400 both a thrilling race to watch and a difficult one to win.
It may not have the prestige of its sister race, the Daytona 500, but this event is clearly an equal challenge for the drivers.
Can any of the last seven winners break the streak and repeat at the track Saturday night?
