7 reasons to watch the Checker O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Phoenix International Raceway: The Chase? It’s On

One slip.

That’s all it took at Texas for David Reutimann to get into Sam Hornish Jr., who in turn got into Jimmie Johnson.

And Johnson’s 184-point lead over Mark Martin went poof! Instead of heading to Phoenix looking to wrap up title No. 4, Johnson will be looking to protect a Suddenly tenuous looking 73-point advantage.

Over? Not this one.

It's not really on. It's still the 48's championship to lose, and let's face it: he isn't going to do that.
