44 teams on preliminary entry list for Cup race at Pocono

Only 44 NASCAR Sprint Cup teams are on the preliminary entry list for Sunday's Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500, meaning only one team will fail to make the race.
Those outside the top 35 in owners points and therefore needing to qualifying based on speed are Phoenix Racing's Sterling Marlin, Tommy Baldwin Racing's Patrick Carpentier, Front Row Motorsports' Tony Raines, Gunselman Motorsports' Mike Wallace, Prism Motorsports' Dave Blaney, TRG Motorsports' David Gilliland, Cope/Keller Racing's Derrike Cope, Red Bull Racing's Scott Speed and Nemco Motorsports' Joe Nemechek.
Practices for this weekend's race are scheduled to begin at noon EDT Friday with qualifying to follow at 3:40 p.m. The race is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Sunday.
