Monday, April 27, 2009
Only 44 NASCAR Sprint Cup teams are on the preliminary entry list for Saturday night's Crown Royal/Russ Friedman 400 at Richmond International Raceway, one more than a full field.
In addition to the 43 teams that have attempted to make the field for every race, Trevor Boys is entered in the No. 06 Boys Will Be Boys Racing Dodge.
Practice for the race is scheduled to begin at Noon EDT Friday, with qualifying scheduled for 5:40 p.m. The race is scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday.

Apr 28, 2009 at 6:31 PMIs there any reason why just one person will have to go home? Can't they just fill the 22nd row? maybe it's me, but isn't that a bit stupid? Okay, if 47 show up, four have to go home. But if 44 cars show up, why couldn't they all race? Come on, NASCAR, there's an extra spot back there, fill it. What could it hurt? Tradition? Since when has that mattered?

Apr 28, 2009 at 8:43 PMMartin Truex is due and Richmond is just a tad bigger than Wall Stadium. If I were in Las Vegas, I'd put $50 on him to win Saturday night. I have a feeling that we will see a short field for a Sprint Cup race in the near future. But then again, I think NASCAR will pay to have a full field. They just won't let a short field happen.

Apr 29, 2009 at 9:01 AMKasey Kahne all the way, he has a better car than he did last year, I hope anyway. I do hope Martin Truex does do good #4 yes, but Kasey Kahne is my favorite. Go Kasey Kahne and his compay of 3 team mates! I like Truex, but Montoya is a no for me, unless he would have drivin the #41.
