Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart is working with sponsor Old Spice to raise money for charity with a race-worn hat that is unwashed and autographed.

Immediately after winning the May 9 Diamond Hill Plywood 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Darlington Raceway, Stewart signed his hat in black ink and handed it over to a charity auction to benefit the Tony Stewart Foundation. The Foundation raises funds to help care for chronically ill children, drivers injured in motorsports activities and to support other charitable organizations in the protection of various animal species.

The charity begins at 1 p.m. EDT on Monday and will run until 1 p.m. May 19. Fans can place a bid for the autographed hat by logging on to www.OldSpice.com  or www.TonyStewart.com.

Tony is one of the most caring athletes of our time. There are thousands of things he does for people that we don't even hear about. And he does these good deeds simply because he wants to, it is from his heart and not scheduled by his PR person. Can you tell that I am a big fan of the driver on the track and the man in everyday life.
