MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Rusty Wallace Racing driver Steve Wallace was summoned to the NASCAR Nationwide Series hauler to meet with officials following Saturday’s Kroger On Track For The Cure 250 at Memphis Motorsports Park after he allegedly ran into the side of Matt Kenseth’s car on pit road.

Wallace, who had spun in the closing laps after contact from Roush Fenway Racing’s Kenseth, drove down pit road after the checkered flag and ran into the left side of Kenseth’s car, witnesses said.

Wallace was then whisked to the NASCAR hauler before further incident.

Past incidents similar to Wallace’s have drawn penalties. If NASCAR decides to penalize Wallace, it likely would be announced Tuesday after the sanctioning body holds its competition meetings.
