MONTREAL – Brad Keselowski remained noncommittal this weekend at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on his future in NASCAR, though he did say an announcement on his plans will come “shortly.”

Keselowski, a full-time Nationwide Series driver for JR Motorsports and a part-time Sprint Cup driver for Hendrick Motorsports and Phoenix Racing, is rumored to be joining Penske Racing in 2010 – perhaps running both series full time for the team.

Asked Saturday if anything was signed for 2010, Keselowski said, “I’ve got nothing at this point to announce. That will change shortly. We’ll be figuring that out and y’all can come join me.”

What does shortly mean? Keselowski wouldn’t say.

“Oh, wow, you want me to pinpoint,” Keselowski said. “Sorry, I can’t pinpoint.”

Keselowski has said he wanted to drive full time in both series, and those plans remain in place.

“I’m confident that I will run full time in both series next season,” he said.

If he joins Penske, he could be a teammate to Justin Allgaier in the Nationwide Series. Allgaier said Saturday he told Penske officials he didn’t want to know about the team’s plans until they were official.

“That’s the best way to do it,” Allgaier said. “If it is true and Brad does come over, that’s great, and I wish him all the best. Whether he goes to our organization or somewhere else, I wish him all the best.

“If he does come over, he’s somebody who is my age. We grew up a lot in the same atmosphere, racing ourselves, doing things the hard way. … I ask him questions now [about racing].”

Keselowski asked a question this weekend about what Hendrick team owner Rick Hendrick meant when he said last weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway that “[Keselowski] will never be out of reach.”

“Nobody asked him what it meant?” Keselowski said “I’m curious what it meant to him. That’s a very good question. … I don’t know what it does mean, but I can tell you what I think it means. I think it means that he is proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish together and that he would like to do something in the future.

“That’s what I think it means. But words are words. Actions speak much louder.”
