DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Roush Fenway Racing’s David Ragan led the final NASCAR Nationwide Series practice Thursday, turning a lap of 182.626 mph at Daytona International Speedway.

Second was Joe Nemechek in his own Nemco Motorsports Toyota at 182.500, with Scott Wimmer third in the Key Motorsports Chevrolet at 182.456.

Michael Waltrip, who led the opening practice, was fourth in his own Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota, with Joe Gibbs Racing’s Joey Logano fifth.

Sixth through 10th were Kevin Harvick (Kevin Harvick Inc.), Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway), Michael Annett (Germain Racing), Robert Richardson Jr. (R3 Motorsports) and Justin Allgaier (Penske Racing).

The cars of Scott Lagasse Jr. (CJM Racing), Steve Wallace (Rusty Wallace Racing) and Tony Raines (Front Row Motorsports) were involved in a crash with 15 minutes left in the practice. Lagasse and Wallace will be forced to backup cars.

Lagasse’s Toyota appeared to inch down in Turn 4, where Wallace got in the left-rear of Lagasse’s car. Raines was an innocent victim.

The series has qualifying scheduled for 1:05 p.m. EDT Friday. The 100-lap race is slated to begin shortly after 8 p.m. Friday night.
