Roush Fenway Racing's Carl Edwards leads final Nashville Nationwide practice
LEBANON, Tenn. – Roush Fenway Racing driver Carl Edwards led the final NASCAR Nationwide Series practice Friday night in preparation for the Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway.
Edwards, who will head back to Pocono Raceway for Sprint Cup practice on Saturday, had a best lap of 160.866 mph in the No. 60 Ford. Brad Coleman was second in the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota at 160.624 mph.
Steve Wallace (Rusty Wallace Racing) was third at 160.452. Phoenix Racing’s Mike Bliss was fourth, with Richard Childress Racing’s Sean Caisse fifth.
Sixth through 10th were Brendan Gaughan (RWR), Cale Gale (Kevin Harvick Inc.), Jason Leffler (Braun Racing), Brad Keselowski (JR Motorsports) and Scott Lagasse Jr. (CJM Racing).
Qualifying is scheduled for 2:35 p.m. Saturday, with the 225-lap race set to begin shortly after 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.
